Ralph Rapson, 1914-2008
Ralph Rapson died over the weekend, aged 93.
“An unassuming door, painted black with a number missing from its address. Behind the door, a narrow flight of stairs leads to an office and what looks like a receptionist’s desk. There’s no receptionist, just a man answers the phone, ‘Rapson Architects.’ The voice belongs to Ralph Rapson.”
Camera Obscura
“Simply put, a camera obscura is a room of any size that is made totally dark except for a small opening to the outside. The tiny amount of light entering the enclosed space produces an upside down image of the exterior world on the wall of the room.” Abelardo Morell
